Sign up here for a month of sourdough bread, and pick up a freshly baked loaf each Thursday.
These large artisan loaves are handmade with freshly milled flour from locally grown wheat, naturally leavened and slow fermented with a living sourdough culture.
Subscription pickup dates will include:
Thursdays January 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.
Subscription does not include bread on New Years Day, the 1st of January, allowing us to have a brief winter break!
A slow natural fermentation process, combined with fresh milled wholegrain flour gives these loaves excellent flavor, better nutrition and easier digestion than commercially produced breads
Alchemy Bread uses sustainably farmed & pesticide free Yecora Rojo wheat berries, locally grown in nearby Robert’s Ferry overlooking a lavender farm. These whole grains are milled in house into freshly ground flour.
Ingredients: Wheat Flour, water, sourdough culture (flour and water), salt.
Pick up is in downtown Modesto each Thursday between noon and 6:00 pm.
Cookies, focaccia and baguettes are also typically available on Thursdays during pickup time, and can be purchased with cash, venmo, or applepay.

Out of town for a week or going to miss a pickup time? Anyone can pick up your bread! Consider sending a friend or family member :) Bread that isn’t picked up during pickup time will be donated after 24 hours. Thanks for understanding!
